Canada Mineral Development Corporation (CMDC) is a collaborative platform positioned to engage with governments, Indigenous communities, and investors to support sustainable, inclusive, and competitive mineral development across Canada.
Each province presents unique opportunities and challenges. CMDC's model establishes provincial Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) to tailor development strategies to local realities while maintaining national consistency in governance, Sustainability Integration, and infrastructure standards.
Led by Chairman Humair Zafar Maniar, CMDC combines policy insight with operational depth. As a contributor to Pakistan's FATA Mineral Policy (drafted 2004, implemented 2006), he advised the FATA Development Authority and the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) on establishing one of South Asia's first structured mining governance frameworks for a tribal-administered region — introducing licensing systems, tribal participation, and royalty-sharing mechanisms.

That model also prioritized infrastructure development — building cost-efficient transport and logistics corridors funded through mining revenues and used to support community training and development programs. This mirrors the collaborative approach now central to CMDC's Indigenous partnership strategy in Canada.
Beyond policy, Chairman Humair Zafar Maniar embedded these same principles into his corporate group, HZM Corporation, building an organization recognized globally for its responsible and ethical operational excellence and adherence to international governance, safety, and sustainability standard.
